This project was all about Wassily Kandinsky, one of the most important pioneers of abstract art. Our task was to encode and conceal content. But on closer inspection of these seemingly confused strokes and shapes in Kandinsky's works, we realised that they had a deeper meaning. In these abstract compositions, Kandinsky hid symbols and pictorial objects, including horsemen, boats, Russian saints and much more, which were depicted in coded form.

The logo we developed for this project needed to radiate a certain stability and uniformity. We fulfilled these requirements through the skilful use of positive space and connecting elements. The open ends of the logo symbolise openness and expansion. The logo is composed of the initial letter 'W', which stands for Kandinsky.

This project shows how we incorporated Kandinsky's creative approach to art and the concealment of meaning into our own design process to develop a meaningful and aesthetic logo.
